I've got a Whinjury

I've got a whinjury
Or a whinging injury
It comes from the mind
and the body saying no more
here is the excuse
this is the reason
to stop
put the feet up
drink beer
don't run, it hurts
its in my ankle
oh it is sore
I can run no more
just run in 2 days
or maybe 4
or bugger it
take the month off

but then I go out
Whinjury be dammed
funny it doesn't hurt as much
when the miles pile on
and my mind says thats better
Sure it is sore a bit
but the running feels great

Still got a whinjury
it is lurking in the background..
and ready to strike
if I let it..


(Still got to do my race report !)
